Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday March 5, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Scott’s Funeral Home with Richard Worley officiating. Interment will be at the Ater Cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Polly Choat was born on August 16, 1914 in Coryell County, Texas to the late Charley L. and Ruth Ellen Moore Lipsey. She attended school in Ames and Gatesville. She married Hubert B. Choat on July 4, 1933. Polly was a former resident of Temple and during WWII she worked as a waitress. She was a member of the Church of God Faith of Abraham. Polly was a joy and blessing to all who knew her. She lived her life full of optimism and encouragement. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her brothers, Curtis, Loyd and Bill Lipsey. She is survived by sisters, Doris Powell of Rowlett and Mary Beaty of Beaumont; and one brother, Jack Lipsey and wife Helen of Gatesville; her guardian and niece, Louise Yows and numerous nieces and nephews.
