Roberta H. McDuffey

Roberta H. McDuffey, 95, of Gatesville, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at a local care center. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Martha Cemetery in Martha, Oklahoma. The family will receive visitors from 5-7 PM on Monday at Lowell Tims Funeral Home in Altus, OK. Roberta was born on July 15, 1913 in Martha, OK to the late Robert Lee and Augusta Mae Sampler Hamilton. She attended school in Martha, OK and graduated in 1931. She married Woodrow Wilson McDuffey on May 1, 1936. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, J.D. Hamilton, Harold Hamilton, and Elvin Hamilton; sister, Wynelle Hawkins; daughter-in-law, Linda McDuffey and a son, Doyle McDuffey. Roberta is survived by her daughter, Joyce Woodlock and husband Tim of Gatesville, TX; daughter-in-law, Marjorie McDuffey of Las Vegas, NV; son, John McDuffey of Mesquite, TX; sister-in-law, Norene Hamilton of Lawton, OK; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
