Stella Louise Roberts

Stella Louise Roberts, age 62, of Gatesville, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 21, 2015 at McGregor City Cemetery. Stella was born on August 31, 1953 in Austin, TX to Carlos and Louise Roberts. She lived in and around Gatesville most of her adult life. She worked as a CNA at Hillside Nursing Home, and at The McGregor Nursing Home. She also worked for Home Health Care in Gatesville for several years. She was a very kind and compassionate care giver. Stella enjoyed helping other people. Stella always loved her family and Church family. She loved game night with the family – dominoes, cards and board games – she enjoyed them all. Stella was known for her crocheted rugs, she called them her “Rugs of many colors”. Stella was always generous to share all of her beautiful creations with loved ones. Stella was a member of the Church of Christ. She attended church in McGregor and Hamilton as long as her health allowed. Stella was preceded in death by her father, Carlos Clarence Roberts; two brothers, Clarence and Jimmy Roberts; and one sister, Karen Dickey. Survivors include her mother, Eula Louise Roberts; sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Jerry Bradley; one niece; two nephews; four great-nephews; and many friends.
