David E. Cooper

David E. Cooper, age 52, of Austin passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015 in Round Rock, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville with visitation following the service. David was born in Gatesville, Texas to JB and Cathryn Cudd Cooper on June 17, 1963. He graduated from Gatesville High School in 1981. After high school he attended University of Mary Hardin Baylor and Temple College where he received his LVN nursing certificate. David worked as an LVN for many years and retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Hughes Unit in Gatesville. David was preceded in death by his brother, Larry D. Cooper. David is survived by his husband, Scott Coleman of Austin; children, Rachel Anderson and husband, Chad of Panama City, FL, Jacob Cooper and wife, Jennifer of Gatesville; parents, JB and Cathryn Cooper of Gatesville; brother, Michael Cooper of Waco; and 5 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be sent to the Gatesville Care Center.
