Geraldine Schmalriede

Geraldine Schmalriede, age 71, of Gatesville passed away Friday, December 25, 2015. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 28, 2015 at St John Lutheran Church in Coryell City. Burial will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday. Geraldine was born September 8, 1944 in Pueblo, Colorado to Elgie Williamson and Aleta Powers Williamson. She married Bobby Schmalriede on October 25, 1969 in Fort Worth. They lived in Fort Worth until September 2014, moving to Gatesville to be near family. She was a strong willed and very caring person that loved her family. She loved elephants and collected them as a hobby. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Sandra Hartsell. Geraldine is survived by her husband, Bobby Schmalriede; daughter, Elizabeth Reinhardt and husband, Robert; sisters, Connie Proctor and Judy Proctor; grandchildren, Heather Rambeau and husband, Paul and Brandon Reinhardt and wife, Marlo; great-grandchildren, Quade Blayson, Braylen Nichols, and Ben and Beaux Bruce; and a host of nieces and nephews.
