She grew up in Temple and graduated from Temple High School. She married the love of her life, Pat Westfall on June 11, 1949 in Temple. Rose Ann was an extremely proud and supportive Army wife, traveling with her husband around the world throughout his military career. Together they raised two daughters and one son. Rose was a gifted homemaker, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed making a home where ever the Army took them. Rose Ann was multi-talented and extremely creative. Her talents could be seen throughout her life. She was an artist, leaving her family beautiful paintings to treasure. She loved music and singing, spending many years singing in church choirs. She was an exceptional seamstress, creating beautiful quilts, wedding dresses and baptismal gowns for her family to cherish. Rose also made beautiful porcelain dolls, even having them photographed and recognized in National magazines. But her greatest passions were family and genealogy. She loved researching her and Pat’s family tree. She referred to it as “tree climbing” and spent years researching each branch. In 1989 she had a genealogy book published. Rose and Pat settled in Levita after Pat’s retirement, where she loved planning and attending family and military reunions. Rose’s faith was demonstrated in the way she lived her life, supporting and attending various churches in the communities in which she lived. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Westfall and Janis Westfall Davis; son, Duane Westfall; sister, Janelle Heiner; grandchildren, Sherrine Moore and husband Tim, Shelley Buerger, and Jackie Davis; her pride and joy great-grandchildren, Dillon Warrick, McKenzie Zemanek, Brianna Becker, and Bentley Zemanek; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
