Effie M. Armer

Effie M. Armer, age 73, of Gatesville passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016. Private services will be held. Effie was born on November 30, 1942 in Gatesville, Texas to the late O.Q. Edwards and Hazel Tatum Edwards. She married David Armer on September 1, 1965 in Odessa, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 30, 2014. She loved her family deeply, enjoyed going to garage sales, and scratching her lotto tickets. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Faye Ellen Crawford; and three brothers, Jerry Lynn Edwards, Jody Edwards, and Kenneth Wade Edwards. Effie is survived by her daughter, Donna Hawk of Gatesville; two sisters, Lillie Stovall and Nancy Cole, both of Gatesville; two brothers, Ollie Edwards and Billy Paul Edwards, both of Gatesville; one granddaughter, Krystal Hawk-Copeland and husband, James of Copperas Cove; two great-grandchildren, Audrick and Kylar; and several nieces and nephews.
