Ozella Baize Belvin, 89 of Purmela, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2009 in Clifton. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M., Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Live Oak Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home. Ozella Baize was born in Coryell County in 1920 to the late Gustoff and Vesta Moore Baize. She was one of six children. She spent most of her life in the Liberty-Ohio Community in Hamilton County, where at the age of 16, she met and married Clovis Belvin. They were married for 72 years. Ozella was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who always put others first and loved taking care of Clovis for their 72 years together. Ozella loved the Church of Christ and her church family and friends. She enjoyed cooking Chocolate and Lemon Pies and hot rolls for the many special occasions she attended. Ozella was preceded in death by her husband, Clovis, her parents, all 5 brothers and sisters; 2 daughters, Clova Craig and Mary Howeth; 1 son- in- law, Sonny Howeth; 2 grandsons and 1 great grandson. She is survived by her son, E.J. Belvin and wife Janice of Clifton; daughter, Kay Dowell and husband Gene of China Spring; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
