Bridgette Barton Holden Adkison

Bridgette Barton Adkison, age 50, of Gatesville passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016. Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, March 25, 2016 at Mountain Baptist Church with visitation following until 6:00 p.m. Bridgette was born on December 9, 1965 as a twin in Gatesville, Texas to Bobby Joe and Cleda Egger Barton. She graduated from Gatesville High School in 1984, where she was active in sports. After high school, she became a certified EMT and retired from T.D.C.J. after 26 years of service. Bridgette will be remembered for gardening, her baking, and the way she touched the lives of everyone she met. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, mother, and Gigi. She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Joe Barton; grandparents, Charlie and Evalee Barton, Herman and Lois Egger; and a sister, Shelly Barton. Bridgette is survived by her children, Kayla Miller, Chancy Lay and husband, Daniel, and Heath Holden; mother, Cleda Hale and husband, Ken; her precious grandson, Layton Allen Miller; sister, Tammy Massingill and husband, Dewayne; twin brother, Brad Barton and wife, Holly; and many nieces and nephews.
