Ila Mae Hamilton

Ila Mae Hamilton, age 91, of Waco, Texas passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Scott’s Funeral Home with Rev. Harley Gordon officiating. Burial will follow at Gatesville City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Ila Mae was born on September 18, 1924 in Gatesville, Texas to the late Woodie Rainer and Dora Alma (Teenie) Wittie Rainer. She attended school in Gatesville. She married John (Dollie) Hamilton on March 20, 1950. After marrying, they resided in Gatesville for four years, until moving to Waco in 1954. She was a homemaker and a member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband on February 18, 1994; sister, Collette Rainer; and brothers, J.W. Rainer and A.D. Rainer. Ila Mae is survived by her brother, Tom (Connie) Rainer and wife, Jane; sister-in-law, Gelene Rainer; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.
