Jerry Necessary

Jerry Necessary, age 72, of Gatesville passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Hemmeline Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the funeral home. Jerry was born on July 19, 1943 in Gatesville, Texas to the late Dewey Necessary and Beulah Mae Bartlett Necessary. He attended school in Gatesville, graduating from Gatesville High School in 1961. He married Audine Lynch on June 12, 1965. They loved working in the yard and making the pasture beautiful. Jerry worked in construction and one of his passions was refinishing old things and bringing them back to life. One of Jerry’s greatest loves was spending time with his granddaughters. He was a member of Gatesville Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Fae Braziel. Jerry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Audine Necessary; daughter, Missy Herbelin and husband, Travis; son, Jeff Necessary and wife, Jodi; brothers, Dwaine Necessary and wife, Laverne, Bruce Necessary and wife, Becky, and Van Necessary and wife, Sharon; grandchildren, Bradi and Erin Necessary and Holly and Heather Herbelin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
