Jerry Don Eary

Jerry Don Eary, 56 of Gatesville, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2009 at a Temple hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 21, 2009 at the Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Hammond officiating. Burial will follow at the Jonesboro Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Jerry was born on July 10, 1952 in Comanche, TX to the late N.L. and Bessie Moore Eary. He grew up and attended school in Gatesville, graduating in 1971. Jerry was an avid sports fan, his favorite teams being the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns. He loved to work out and enjoyed going to the Gatesville Fitness Center. One of his favorite things in life was to make people laugh, and he was known for his great sense of humor. He was a member of Coryell Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant sister, Christine Eary. Jerry is survived by his brothers and sisters, Betsy Markle and husband Gary of Tennessee, Ray Eary and wife Lisa of Temple, Sandra Kattner and husband Glenn of Gatesville, and Robert Eary and wife Nancy of Lillian, TX; several nieces and nephews and their children.
