Minnie Marie Lilljedahl Lenoir Minnie Marie Lilljedahl Lenoir, 87 of Temple, formerly of Gatesville, passed away on May 30, 2009 in Temple. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at the Scotts Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Skinner officiating. Burial will be at Ater Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 9-11:00 A.M. preceding the service on Wednesday. Minnie was born on July 5, 1921 in the Ireland Community of Coryell County to the late John T. and Maudie Ola Bell Lilljedahl. She was raised and attended school in Coryell County. She worked as a Housemother at the Mexia State School and the Corsicana Children’s Home for many years. Later in life she enjoyed being a greeter at Wellington Place in Temple. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and attended the First United Methodist Church of Gatesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James Herring, Jr., 5 sisters and 4 brothers. Minnie is survived by her daughters, Patricia Vessel and husband Kenneth of Greenville, TX and Tana Quaid of Kinder, LA; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
