Lester (Tut) Dixon

Lester (Tut) Dixon, age 88, passed away Friday July 15, 2016 in Gatesville. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Turnersville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday at the Funeral Home. Lester was born March 16, 1928 to Luther and Josie Simmons Dixon. He attended school in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He moved to Gatesville in 1937. Lester married Mozelle Smith on June 16, 1961. He worked for the First Baptist Church in Gatesville for over 20 Years. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers. Survivors include his wife, Mozelle Dixon; daughter, Barbara Williams and grandson, Neil Williams.
