Terry Nance

Terry Nance, age 59, of Gatesville, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 25, 2016 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Smith King Cemetery in Mound. Terry was born on September 13, 1956 in Gatesville to Betty Starkey Nance and the late Johnie Nance. He attended school in Mound and Gatesville. He was a truck driver for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his father; nephew, Michael Nance; brother-in-law, Billy Stovall; and his grandparents. He is survived by a son, Nathan Nance of McGregor; fiancé, Carolyn Hatton of Ada, OK; mother, Betty Nance of Gatesville; sisters, Patricia Stovall, Annette Bragewitz and husband, Jimmy of Gatesville; brothers, Marvin Nance of Mesquite, Gene Nance of Leon Junction; aunt, Sarah Jane Platt of Baytown: uncle, Billy Starkey of Garland; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
