October 27, 1951 – August 9, 2016 Edward Arthur Newman, age 64, of Gatesville, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Tabernacle of Praise Church, 202 E. Main in Gatesville, with Pastor Jimmy Skiles officiating. Eddie was born on October 27, 1951 in Glen Rose, Texas to Arthur Newman and Gracie McGee Newman. He was an outdoorsman, loved Gatesville, this community, and loved inviting people to church. His greatest love was for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and his church that he was indeed faithful too. He was a real inspiration and a tremendous value to the kingdom with a style that was all his own. A true worshipper!
