Grayson Glen Lee

Grayson Lee, 76, of Gatesville, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2009 at a local hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Scott’s Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Rose officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. Grayson was born on October 3, 1932 in Coryell County to the late Robert Clayton and Ora Finney Lee. He married Doris Blakley in Gatesville on January 21, 1955. He served in the US Army and the Army National Guard. He worked for Civil Service for several years. He then became the owner and operator of Grayson Lee Heating and Air Conditioning and Plumbing Supplies for many years. After his retirement, he still worked odd jobs in town, but especially loved going to the coffee shop, playing dominoes, and going to his great granddaughter’s ballgames. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Lee; a brother Bob Lee; and his parents. Grayson is survived by his wife Doris Lee; daughter, Glenda Timmons; a sister, Nell Boone; grandchildren, Brandy Gorrell and Laura Cox and husband Dustin; great grandchildren, Jaycee Summers, Tyler Cox and Caitlin Cox. In Lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made in Grayson’s memory to each individual’s favorite charity.
