Lloyd Cole Russell, age 32, of Crawford passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Coryell Community Church, with Rev. Bruce Cox officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery in Coryell City. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Cole was born on May 27, 1984 in Clifton. He grew up and went to school in Gatesville. He worked for Heart of Texas Electric Coop in McGregor and for Gohlke Farms in Crawford. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Coryell City. Cole enjoyed the outdoors, loved people and never met a stranger. He loved animals, especially his dog, “Buster Dog” that went with him everywhere he went. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd and Polly Russell; Donald and Margie Pruitt; uncle, Donald Pruitt; and cousin, Sam Kettler. Cole is survived by his mother, Tammy Pruitt Russell; father, Kenneth Russell and wife, Teresa; sisters, Julie Russell (Sis) and boyfriend, Trent Altum and Leah Basham; aunt and uncles, Suzanne (Suzy) and Shawn (The Captain), Bill Pruitt and wife, Deanna, Billy Russell and wife, Nancy, JoAnn Carothers; niece, Trysten Altum; nephew, Martin Colter Russell; cousins, Laramie Kettler, Russell Wayne McHargue, David Lloyd Russell, Kimberly Russell, Jeff Pruitt, Ashley Pruitt, and Katie Pruitt. He also left behind his special family and the love of his life, Blair Hicks and children who lovingly called him “Big Daddy”, Zoe (Miss Zoe), Gio and Scarlett (Tooter); and a special family friend, McKenzie (Mac Attack) Coble.
