Reneau and Laura Ercanbrack. She was the youngest of six children. As a girl, she lived most of the time in Aransas Pass where her mother owned a boarding house and Kitty was responsible for washing dishes every day after school. Living on the coast, she loved swimming which was about the only outside activity she enjoyed. She met Delvin E. Marwitz while working on the toll booth in Aransas Pass. They married May 30, 1950 in Aransas Pass, Texas. Shortly after they married, they moved to Evant Texas into Put Sawyers’ garage apartment. Kitty said it was certainly a shock, the coldest winter she could remember in a garage apartment. She was a wonderful homemaker, mother, and grandmother. Taking care of DE and her three perfect boys! In addition to raising three boys, she helped out when the family opened the Rotunda Retirement and Convalescent Facility in 1968. They moved to Gatesville in 1974 to be closer to work. One of her favorite jobs was helping Gerti at the beauty shop, Beautiful Reflections. They shared many, many laughs, cries, and wonderful memories in that shop. Kitty was a member of the Methodist Church in Evant, Texas. She loved her church and church family. She was preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings, and her husband. Kitty is survived by her boys, Gary Marwitz of Waco, Scott Marwitz and wife, Beverly of Evant, and David Marwitz and wife, Darlene of Fredericksburg; one grandson, Clay Marwitz and wife, Michelle of Evant; her other grandchildren that she welcomed like her own, Alexandria Montalvo and husband, Dr. Tim Montalvo of Waco, James Lee Freeman and wife, Liz of Cedar Park, Angela Torres and husband, Roland of Cedar Park, Chase Yarborough and wife, Sarah of Comanche, and Leah and Lana of Evant; nine great-grandchildren, Arrabella, Justin, James, Madison, Jeremiah, Matt, Ellie, Jack, and Kate; one great-great-grandson, Gavin; sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by her very dear friends, Don & Gerti Skiles, Fritz Green, Roselyn Mitchell, Phyllis Avant, and Margaret Loa.
