Aravilla Maxine Basham Saltville, VA Aravilla Maxine Basham, age 84, went to be with the Lord July 11, 2009, she was at her home in Saltville. She was a member of the Deer Valley Baptist Church in Chilhowie, VA. She proceeded in death by her husband, James Coffee Basham, a brother, Gordon Kenneth Goddard, and step-grandson Michael Eakin. Survivors include Daughter Dorothy Musick & husband Danny Ray of Saltville, VA Step-daughter Sybil Smitherman of Calvert, TX Step-son Daniel W. Basham & wife Mary Margaret of Arlington TX Sister Aralynna Cox of Sparks, NV 2 Brothers Fred Goddard & wife Betty of Lochbuie, CO Olin Goddard of CO 1 Grandson Jeremy Eugene McClure of Saltville, VA 6 Step-grandchildren Judith Eakin of Madrid, Spain Charis Carter of Arlington, TX Brenda Helton & husband Matthew of Meadowview, VA Benjamin Eakin of Waco, TX Nathan Basham & wife Jerri of Mansfield, TX Danny W. Musick & girl friend Katie Dowell of Saltville, VA 2 Step-great grandchildren Christopher Daniel Musick & Austin Wayne Helton and several other great grandchildren Numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday July 16, 2009 at the Purmela Baptist Church in Purmela, TX with Rev. Randy Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the church prior to the service.
