Mary Caddel

Mary A. Caddel, 91, of Bee House, TX in Coryell County, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2009 in Temple. Funeral Services will be held at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Scott’s Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Bee House Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Mary was born on December 18, 1917 to the late Willie and Annie Pack Carothers in Coryell City, Texas. She was attended the Church of Christ in Pearl. Mary served as the Postmaster for Bee House, TX from 1946 until 1986. She loved her family and was proud to be an American and a Texan. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, ranching and raising livestock. She was a very respected business women and was very frugal. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Caddel in 2004; an infant daughter, Virginia Lynn Cummings; brothers, J.W. Carothers and Robert Carothers and her sisters, Lometa Rogers and Bennie E. Baird. She is survived by her sons, A.G. “Gerald” Cummings and wife Karen, J.D. “Jim” Cummings and wife Raquel; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
