Roger Mitchell

Roger Mitchell, age 66, of Gatesville passed away Monday, October 17, 2016. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 20, 2016 at King Cemetery with Rev. Tim Crosby officiating. Roger was born on November 22, 1949 in Calexico, California to H.B. Mitchell and Velma Farpella Mitchell. He attended school in San Diego, California. Roger served in the US Army in the Vietnam War. He married Jeanne Lovell on September 19, 1971. He enjoyed bass fishing, football, and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Ann Mason. Roger is survived by his wife, Jeanne Mitchell; daughter, Carolee Mitchell and husband, Christopher Palmer; son, Charles Mitchell; sister, Patsy Buckmaster and husband, Jay; and brother, Richard Mitchell and wife, Janet.
