Ruth Rita Brennan

Ruth Rita Brennan, age 72, of Gatesville passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville. Ruth was born on January 16, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Thomas and Esther Stephenson Raiker. She attended school in Pennsylvania and graduated from Little Flower Catholic High School. She married Gerald Brennan, Sr. on May 16, 1964. She worked at Killeen I.S.D., Little Rascals Day Care, and Gatesville Head Start. She enjoyed volunteer work, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, and caring for her dogs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Brennan, Sr; sister, Rita Ruth Hughes; and brother, Thomas Leo Raiker. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Sarah Hall and husband, Richard of Gatesville and Irene Brennan of Gatesville; son, Jerry Brennan, Jr. and wife, Jeni of Gatesville; grandchildren, Richard, Jeffery, Jerry, Michael, Sarah Marie, Brant, Dylan, Cadence, and Phoebe; and great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Kyndal, R.J., and Kaylin.
