Amy Cox, age 78, of Gatesville passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the funeral home. Amy was born in Menard, Texas to the late Andrew and Ivy Perkins. She married Ennice Cox on November 8, 1957. Amy lived in Gatesville most of her life. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church. She was a homemaker that loved taking care of her family. She also loved to spend time in the kitchen, cooking and baking. She was known for making great biscuits and corn bread dressing. If she was not in the kitchen, she could be found tending her many colored rose bushes. Amy loved her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. Amy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ennice Cox; grandsons, Franklin Ingram and Rowdy Layne Cox; sisters, Jewel, Eda, Molly, and Christine; and brothers, Henry, Billy, and Joe. Amy is survived by her daughters, Ivy Ingram and husband, Harry and Sara Perkins and husband, Lloyd; sons, Franklin Cox and Ralph Cox and wife, Connie; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Hazel Bale; and two brothers, Tommy Perkins and Alfred Perkins.
