Margaret Juanelle Lord

Mrs. Margaret Juanelle Lord, 69 of Gatesville, passed away on July 26, 2009 at a Temple hospital. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Restland Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 9-10:00 A.M. at the funeral home on Tuesday. Mrs. Lord was born in Lubbock, Texas on June 27, 1940 to the late Wayland A. and Wanda A. Price Salyers. She graduated from high school in Center, Texas. She married Huey Lord on December 3, 1957. He preceded her in death in 2003. They lived in Hamilton, moving to Gatesville in 1989. She worked as a Security Guard at the Hilltop Unit at TDCJ for 20 years, retiring in 2001. She also worked at Walls, Mftg. in Hamilton for 20 years. She loved doing all types of arts and crafts, and she loved her coffee. She is survived by her children, Allen Lord and wife Nell, Vicki Thompson and husband Boyd, Lori Thompson, and Joshua Lord and wife Mandy; sisters, Denise McFarlin and Faye Randals; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
