Jerry Dean Flynn, age 81, and Barbara Ann Garrett Flynn, age 80, both of Evant, Texas passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 Jerry was born on February 14, 1935 in Amarillo, Texas to Patrick Flynn and Velma Cazzell Flynn. He graduated from Amarillo High School and married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Garrett on April 2, 1954. He was the Executive Director of Marketing for the Santa Fe Railroad until retirement. He was a Master Mason and an excellent artist who loved painting pictures for his friends. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Evant, Texas. Barbara was born on September 10, 1936 in Buford, Georgia to William Pearce Garrett and Willie Schneider Garrett. Her family moved to Amarillo when she was still a baby, where she grew up and graduated from Amarillo High School. Barbara was a good wife and mother who was loved by everyone. She made many beautiful cross stitches of her favorite Victorians and she loved working on her genealogy projects. She also attended First United Methodist Church of Evant, Texas. They were preceded in death by their parents; grandchildren, James Daniel Crow and Kristen Elyse Passanisi; Jerry’s sisters, Patricia Button and Mike Pulsipher; and Barbara’s sister, Bess Marie Yarbrough. They are survived by their daughters, Melody Kay Flynn, Jerrie Jan Baumgartner, and Linda Gail Crow; one grandchild, Timothy Ryan Crow; Barbara's sister, Billye Jean Talley; many nieces, nephews, cousins and their beloved cat, Miss Kittie, Queen of the Double Bar A Ranch. Per our parents request they will be cremated and there will be no services or funerals.
