Dora Galdina Roman Stubbs

Dora Galdina Roman Stubbs, age 91, of Gatesville, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Saturday November 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 18, 2016, at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. immediately following the visitation. Dora was born on April 18, 1925 in El Paso, Texas to Manuel Roman and Maria Rodriguez Ledesma Roman. She has lived in Gatesville and has been a devoted member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church since 1960. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Stubbs; her parents; stepfather, Sacramento Ledesma; daughter, Anita Swader; granddaughter, Jennifer Clark; sister, Angelina Ortega; and brother, John Ledesma. Dora is survived by her sons, Jose Peña Jr and wife, Laura, Victor Peña, Ricky Peña and wife, Beverly, and Martin Peña; stepson, Mike Stubbs and wife, Teresa; sister, Netty Reyes; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren with two more on the way; and four great-great-grandchildren.
