Sylvia Kathy Holt

Kathy Holt, 75, of Whitehall went to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in The Grove with burial following at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Monday at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville. Kathy was born on July 23, 1941 in The Grove, Texas to the late Walter and Freida Richter Sohns. She graduated from Flat High School in 1959. Kathy married Raymond Holt on November 28, 1959 in The Grove. They were married for almost 50 years before he passed in 2009. Kathy worked for JC Penny’s for over 30 years in Temple. She was happiest when her home was filled with family. She will be remembered for her quick wit, her wonderful meals, her love of travel with her girls and her love of shopping. Kathy was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; five brothers and one sister. Kathy is survived by her daughters, Patricia Freytag and husband, Gary, Debbie Brown and husband, Ron Morgan, Diana Key and husband, Jimmy, Rhonda Honeycutt and husband, Mark; brothers, Walter Sohns, Jerry Sohns; sisters, Ruth Nowlin, Rosie Galli; grandchildren, Cody Brown, Amanda Stone, Jimmy Key, Jr., Sagan Groves, Hayden Holt Honeycutt, Scotty White, Kayla Miller, Kyla Morgan; great grandchildren, Ralie Key, Brody Brown, Sophie Stone, Charles Joseph Stone, Harper Groves and Kinsley Tepe; her close friend and family member, Betty Sohns and her beloved dog, Macy.
