Donald Ray Wells

Donald Ray Wells, age 78, of Flat passed away Friday, December 9, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 12, 2016 at Post Oak Cemetery with full military honors. Donald was born on January 5, 1938 in Nellis, West Virginia to the late Marcus Wells and Sarah Amy Phillips Wells. He grew up and attended school in Kentucky. He was in the US Army for 20 years, serving in Vietnam. He married Ingeborg Beerhalter on April 24, 1970. They have resided in Flat since 1975. He worked at Wilson Art for over 21 years before retiring in 1999. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter, Teri Wells. Donald is survived by his wife, Ingeborg Wells; daughter, Susanne Wells Russell and husband, David of Flat; son, Ray Wells and wife, Melissa of Oglesby; four grandchildren, Kyle Wells and wife, Justus, Jessica Ewing and husband, Joseph, Sarah Russell and Clinton Russell.
