Gwendolyn W. Sellers

Gwendolyn W. Sellers, age 85, of Gatesville, passed away Sunday August 2, 2009 at a local hospital. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Ater Cemetery. Gwendolyn was born October 15, 1923 in Ater, Texas. She was the daughter of Ruel Whisenhunt and Vera Timmons Whisenhunt. She attended school in Ater and Jonesboro. Gwendolyn was a member of the First United Methodist Church for 51 years. She married Jack Sellers on January 1, 1942. She was a bookkeeper for 27 years at the State School for Boys. Gwendolyn was an unbelievable seamstress and loved her garden and yard work. She worked at the Gatesville Care Center for many years. Survivors include her husband of 67 years Jack Sellers, sister; LaRue Hopson and husband Gayle, several nieces and nephews and many loved ones and friends. Memorials may be made to the Ater Cemetery.
