Sherman D. Robertson, Jr.

Sherman D. Robertson, Jr. age 77, of Belton passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 in Gatesville. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Restland Cemetery, with Rev. Ken Laney officiating. Sherman was born on September 7, 1939 in Austin, Texas to the late Sherman D. Robertson, Sr. and Rosa Slaughter Robertson. He graduated from Abilene High School. He married Delores Jean Tesson on September 2, 1960. They moved to Gatesville in 1980, residing here for 25 years, moving to Cypress in 2005, and then to Belton. He was a sales manager at Kalyn Siebert Trailers in Gatesville for 24 years, until his retirement. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was also a former member of the Coryell County Sheriff’s Posse. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Delores Jean Robertson in 2013; granddaughter, Bradie Robertson in 1998; and two brothers, Jesse and Clifton Robertson. Sherman is survived by his daughter, Ginger Elliott of Belton; son, Randy Robertson and wife, April of Gatesville; four grandchildren, Brittan and Bailey Elliott and Payton and Sydnie Robertson.
