Doris Lee

Doris Lee, age 78, of Gatesville passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2016 at Restland Cemetery. There is no set time for visitation. Doris was born on February 27, 1938 in Pearl, Texas to the late Jimmie and Lena Ballard Blakley. She married Grayson Lee on January 21, 1955. They resided in Gatesville all their married lives. Doris helped her husband operate Grayson Lee Heating/Air Conditioning and Plumbing for 10 years, worked for Sellers Grain for 10 years, as well as T.D.C.J. for over 10 years. She was better known to all as MawMaw and never missed a ballgame and always enjoyed cooking breakfast for everyone. She attended Pecan Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grayson Lee in 2009; and daughter, Brenda Lee in 1981. Doris is survived by her daughter, Glenda Timmons; grandchildren, Brandy Gorrell and Laura Cox and husband, Dustin; great-grandchildren, Jaycee Summers, Tyler Cox, and Caitlin Cox; and brother, James Blakley and wife, Bettie.
