Darlene Lenore Short

Darlene Lenore Short, age 71 of Eddy, passed away on August 7, 2009 at her residence. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at the Pearl Cemetery with Rev. Lee Casey officiating. The family will receive visitors from 5-7:00 P.M. on Tuesday at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville. Mrs. Short was born on November 20, 1937 in Brownwood, Texas to the late Albert Ellis and Irene Lillian Garmes Curry. She attended school in Early, Texas, graduating in 1956. She married Norman Gail Short on August 10, 1963. They lived in Moffatt for several years, then in Rockport, Texas for 25 years. They most recently moved to Eddy, Texas where they have resided for 6 years. She is survived by her husband Norman Gail Short of Eddy, TX; daughters, Darla Randolph and her husband Randy of Morgan’s Point, TX, Lorena Unger and husband Richard of Friendswood, TX, and Nova Sbrusch and husband Steven of Richmond, TX; and grandchildren, Remington Unger, Mackenzie Unger, Katarina Unger, and Donovan Unger.
