Sharon Flippen

Sharon Flippen, age 73, of Pattison, Texas, formerly of Evant, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 3, 2017 at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville. Burial will follow at Murphree Cemetery in Evant. Visitation will be 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the funeral home. Sharon was born on September 18, 1943 in Durant, Oklahoma to the late Roy and Juanita Harris. She married Tommy Flippen on August 13, 1960 in Hamilton, Texas. Sharon worked with her husband as a custom harvester for over 30 years. If she wasn’t helping Tommy, she could be found tending her garden. Sharon loved her family and cherished her time together with them. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leroy Harris; and grandson, Ryan Dailey. Sharon is survived by her husband, Tommy; two daughters, Sheryl Perry and husband, Chuck and Barbara Dailey and husband, Dan; son, Stacy Flippen and wife, Tina; five grandkids; and eight great-grandkids.
