Myrna J. Heimbuck

October 4, 1943 – February 27, 2017 Myrna J. Heimbuck, age 73, of Gatesville passed away Monday, February 27, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, March 6, 2017 at the funeral home. Myrna was born on October 4, 1943 in Storm Lake, Iowa to the late Lyman D. Bailey, Sr. and Vergene Lewis Bailey. She grew up and went to school in Laurens, Iowa. She married Ivan Heimbuck, Sr. on April 9, 1964. They moved to Gatesville in 1972. They enjoyed square dancing and bingo. She also crocheted and enjoyed taking care of her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the American Legion Post 42 Women’s Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband on November 14, 2012. Myrna is survived by her sons, Ivan Heimbuck, Jr. and wife, Cindy, Larry Heimbuck, John Heimbuck and wife, Misty, and Randy Heimbuck; sister, Wanda Wedgewood and husband, Ralph; brother, L.D. Bailey, Jr. and wife, Dixie; 10 grandchildren, Christopher, Meagan Lee, Amber, Candance, Meghan, Lance, Kaedin Edward, Clarissa, Gary and Madisan; and three great-grandchildren, Serenity, Xander and Korra.
