Eunice Estelle LaCroix

Eunice “Unie” LaCroix, age 67, of Jonesboro passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017. Unie was born on February 1, 1950 in California, to the late John Aszmus and Violet Gilmore. She married Joe Lacroix on September 30, 1998 in Gatesville. Unie loved her horses. Be it riding for fun, or the competition of barrel racing, she loved her horses. She also loved to tend her garden. Unie was a wonderful seamstress, who loved to sew for the pleasure of it. She would make everything from dresses to suits, even square dance outfits. Unie loved her family most of all. Always making sure there was a hot meal ready to eat at dinner time. She was preceded in death by her by her parents; and a brother. Eunice is survived by her husband of 19 years, Joe LaCroix; son, Donavan O’Brien; grandchildren, Cailinn, Taylor, Luke, and Maeleigh,; step-mother, Lillian Aszmus; sisters, Erma Waxman, and Renee Aszmus; and brothers, Larry and Tom Aszmus.
