Christopher Alexander "Alex" Patrick

Alex Patrick, 27, of Gatesville, passed away on August 31, 2009. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 4, 2009 at the King Baptist Church with Rev. Charles McKamie officiating. Burial will follow at the King Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8:00 P.M. Thursday at Scotts Funeral Home. Alex was born on October 12, 1981 in Temple, Texas to Hoyt Patrick and Luanna Spence Phillips. Alex grew up and attended school in Gatesville, Texas. While in high school he played in the marching band, participated in cross country, baseball, football and track. After high school Alex worked as a Systems Operator for Multi-County Water and Mountain Water Supply. Alex was a good daddy to his son, Aidan Lane Patrick. He was a hard worker and loved working in his yard. He enjoyed his pit bulls, his horse and his goats. He was a good friend. Alex was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Grady Spence and Roscoe Patrick, and his great grandmother Lula Stovall. Alex is survived by his son, Aidan Lane Patrick of Gatesville; his parents, Hoyt Patrick and Luanna Spence Phillips of Gatesville; his brothers, Andy Patrick of Gatesville, Hoyt Patrick, II of Kentucky, and Jason Patrick of San Diego, CA; and his grandmothers, Frances Spence of Gatesville and Kathleen Bone of Illinois.
