Rodger Earl Snoddy

Rodger Earl Snoddy, age 74, of Gatesville, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017. A private memorial will be held at a later date. Rodger was born on March 21, 1943 in Levita, Texas to the late John Snoddy and Minnie Mae Curry. He attended school in Levita and Jonesboro, graduating from Jonesboro in 1961. Rodger worked on Ft. Hood Civil Service, retiring with 30 plus years of service. When Rodger wasn’t working at his job, he could be found working on his “Place”. He also loved reading and word puzzles. Rodger loved telling stories to anyone who would listen. He especially loved telling stories to his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant sister, Caroline Snoddy. Rodger is survived by his daughter, Tammy Nixon and husband, Matt; son, Robert Snoddy and wife, Lee; grandchildren, Brittany, Braden, Lauren, Abby, Justin, Dakota, Shiloh, Logan, and Katie; great-grandchildren, Brynlee, Barrett, Kyzlee, Brantley, Raelyn, and Hannah; sisters, Mary Meeks and Christine Patterson; brothers, Roy Snoddy, Sam Snoddy, and John Jr. Snoddy.
