Joseph James Kring

Mr. Joseph James Kring, Jr., age 65, of Gatesville, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2009 surrounded by his family. Graveside services, with full military honors, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas. There will be no set visitation time. Mr. Kring was born on October 8, 1943 in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Joseph James Kring and Joyce Laverne Guenter Kring. He moved to the Gatesville Community in 1975. He enlisted the US Army in 1960 in Corpus Christi, serving his country, with tours of duty in Germany, Korea, and Vietnam, until his retirement in 1983 at Ft. Hood, Texas. He retired as a 1st Sergeant and was a Chemical Senior Sergeant. He married Delores Ann Blair on December 28, 1987. Mr. Kring was a loving father and an adored PaPa. Mr. Kring is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Doug Kring; and a sister, Kathy Kring. Mr. Kring is survived by his wife, Delores Ann Kring of Gatesville; children, Harold Keller of Germany, Marina Kring Schaefer of Houston, Tina Kring Shriver of Waller, Terry Kring of Georgia, and Peggy Kring O’Neal of Gatesville, Bill Heiner of Gatesville, and Jason Heiner of Waco; grandchildren, Swen Keller, Christian Keller, Kayla Shriver, Sharonna Kring, Ravyn Heiner, Steven Shriver, Tarra Neaves, Skylar Heiner, Stephen O’Neal, II, Joseph Jacob Kring, Tiffany O’Neal, Emmalee Kring, Burgandi Heiner, Jacoby Heiner, Brett Heiner, Sierra Heiner, and Noah Paul Heiner; and great grandchildren, Lillian Kring and Lena O’Neal.
