Jeff Carver

Jeff Carver, age 44, of Gatesville, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 after an eight year decline in health as a result of brain cancer. Visitation will be at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville on Saturday, July 22 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. A private memorial will follow at a later time. Jeff was born in Houston, Texas to Joe and Teri Carver on April 14, 1973. The family moved to Gatesville in 1977 when Jeff was four years old. He graduated from Gatesville High School in 1992. He tried his hand at a few different careers before his illness made it impossible for him to work. His proudest moment was the birth of his daughter in 1999, a day only equaled by the birth of his son in 2002. Jeff loved to draw and was a talented artist. He dabbled in music; playing guitar, banjo, and piano. He was preceded in death by his mother, Teri Carver; grandparents, Gene and Allene Brown, Riley and Iva Carver; aunt, Shelley Messick; and the mother of his children, Amanda Thompson Carver. Survivors include his children, Raven Carver and Robert Carver of McGregor, Texas; his father, Joe Carver of Gatesville, Texas; his sister, Kelle Miller and husband, Allen, and their daughter, Rylie all of Aubrey, Texas; as well as an aunt, several uncles, cousins, and friends.
