Lee Barton

Lee Barton, age 54, of Pottsville, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Post Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville. Lee was born on November 13, 1962 in Casa Grande, Arizona. He attended school and graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1981. He married Tammi Byrd in 1987 and they resided in Gatesville, Texas. He worked as a diesel mechanic and could fix anything he put his hands on. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, barbequing, horseshoes, dominoes, but most of all, he loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Jason Byrd and his father, Lee Barton, Sr. Lee is survived by his daughters, Tiffany Cullar and husband, Andrew and Stephanie McGovern and wife, Harley; daughter-in-law, Lonna Gossett; grandchildren, Paislee, Saydee, Saylor, Braiden, Brayleigh, Brooklynn; brothers, Charles Barton, Jimmy Barton, Miles Barton, David Barton, Marvin Barton; sister, Geraldine; also survived by other relatives and many friends.
