Ruth Stifflemire

Ruth Stifflemire, age 64, of Jonesboro, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Coffey Cemetery. Ruth was born on November 28, 1952 in Littlefield, TX to the late Ernest and Nellie Mullenix Cantrell. Ruth grew up in the Jonesboro and Hamilton area. All of her life she loved to hunt and fish. Ruth loved the outdoors. She also loved spending time with her family, barbequing and telling stories. Ruth’s house was a popular place for family gatherings. She loved to garden and was a great cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stifflemire, in 2015; her parents; brothers, Raymond and Ernest Cantrell; and sister, Pansy Johnson. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Charla Stifflemire and husband, Danny Harris and Carla Genovese and husband, Robert of Waterbury, Conn.; two grandsons, Blake and Rowdy Stifflemire; and numerous nieces and nephews.
