Tammy Lou Hernandez

Tammy Lou Hernandez, age, 55, of Leon Junction, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017. A gathering of her friends and family will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 2:00 – 6:30 p.m. at 303 Walnut Drive in Killeen, Texas. Tammy was born on February 14, 1962 to John Robert and Sarah Bailey Vaughn in Huntington, WV. She attended school in Florida and graduated from Coconut High School in 1980. In the early 90’s, Tammy moved to Gatesville where she worked at Laerdal and for the VA for several years. She married Jesus Hernandez on March 21, 1993 in Leon Junction. Tammy was an animal lover and would take in all kinds of animals. She was good at giving advice and was a people lover. Tammy attended the Cowboy Church in Leon Junction. Tammy was preceded in death by her parents. Tammy is survived by her husband, Jesus Hernandez; sisters, Linda Johnston and Sharon Webb; mother-in-law, Eloisa Hernandez, numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Lilly.
