Marietta Rosetta Walls

Marietta Rosetta Walls, 93, of Gatesville, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at a local nursing center. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Lonedell, MO. Marietta was born on February 1, 1916 in St. Louis, MO to the late John Missey-Hensen and Margaret Young Hensen. She married Everett Walls on August 20, 1932 in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on November 22, 1981. Marietta was an active member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Lonedell, MO. She taught Sunday School there. She made beautiful quilts and she enjoyed crocheting and making ceramics. She was a very loving person and adored her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter Rosemary Fleer on December 22, 1994, 3 sisters, and 2 half brothers. Marietta is survived by her son Donald Walls and his wife Barbara of Gatesville; and 5 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
