David Clay Richards

David Clay Richards, age 58, of Gatesville, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. David was born on August 21, 1959 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina to Harry Tex Richards and Marian McMurry Richards. He was very family oriented and loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He worked for T.D.C.J., retiring after 22 years. David was known for his great sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his father, Tex Richards. David is survived by his wife, Young Ja Richards; sons, Clint Richards and wife, Kelly, Cole Richards and wife, Daisy, and Will Richards and wife, Megan; daughters, Katlyn Stinson and husband, Ross and Katie Brock; mother, Marian Richards; sister, Renee Parker and husband, Jacob; and grandchildren, Benjamin, Weston, and Jackson Richards. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
