Mattie L. Aven

Mattie L. (Peasy) Aven, age 88, of Gatesville, passed away on October 23, 2009 at a local nursing center. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 26, 2009 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Mrs. Aven was born on April 16, 1921 in Riesel, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Aven, 2 children, Charles Morris Hobdy and Linda Diane Sullivan, and 4 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Don Hobdy; 4 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
