Jerry Nolan Buckner

Jerry Nolan Buckner, age 80, of Clifton, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at his home. Services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Saturday December 16, 2017 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Friday December 15, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Jerry was born on March 18, 1937 in Purmela to the late James and Irene Choat Buckner. He grew up and went to school in Purmela. He lived in Purmela until moving to Clifton in 2003. He was a project manager for Chicago Bridge and Iron for 30 years and the last 15 years was a utility inspector for Rice Inspection, Inc. in McGregor. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and visiting with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kenneth Buckner; sister, Jan Stewart; and brother, Toby Buckner. Jerry is survived by his son, Jerry (Butch) Buckner; daughter, Pamela Whitehead; sister, Linda Langford; brother, Curtis Buckner; and granddaughter, Kennedy Whitehead.
