Billie Wallace

Billie Wallace, age 81, of Gatesville, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Billie was born on September 3, 1936 in the Brown’s Creek community of Coryell County, now part of Ft. Hood, to the late Willie D. Keener and Lucy Amelia Hopson Keener. She grew up and went to school in Gatesville, graduating in the class of 1955. She was a paraprofessional and worked as a bus driver for many years for Gatesville ISD and had special relationship with the children she transported to and from school. She was Methodist. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother at a young age, and a sister, Geneva Moore. Billie is survived by her daughters, Candace McCoy and Teresa Ford; son, David Bounds; eight grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and many friends.
