Mary Rose Haferkamp

Mary Rose Haferkamp, age 84, of Gatesville, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 15, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Gatesville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel, with a rosary following at 5:00 p.m. Mary was born on December 8, 1933 in Waco, Texas to Frank Raidl and Mary Pavlovsky Raidl. She married Elwood Haferkamp on September 12, 1952. He preceded her in death on December 14, 1988. She worked for many years at Walls Manufacturing as a seamstress. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Lillian Raidl. Mary is survived by her daughters, Frances Robinette and Kathy Hall and husband, James; sons, James Haferkamp and wife, Connie, Billy Haferkamp and wife, Debi, Michael Haferkamp and wife, Tracy, Craig Haferkamp and wife, Adrienne, and John Haferkamp and wife, Heather; sisters, Alaine Winborne and Fran LeGrande and husband, L.J.; brothers, Frank Raidl and wife, Marlene and Edward Raidl; 19 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
