Lucas B. Hollenbeck

Lucas B. Hollenbeck, age 36, of Gatesville, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Lucas was born on August 26, 1981 in Putnam, Connecticut to Kent Hollenbeck and Darlene Rivers Hollenbeck. He loved the cold weather and snow while growing up in New England. At age 13, he moved to Texas with his parents. Lucas enjoyed riding horses with his buddies, fishing, and shooting his guns. After moving to Gatesville, he worked for Sellers Grain, Quinton & Sons Auto Parts, and then traveled the country working for the oil industry. Recently Lucas joined Wilson Art at Temple, and has been employed there for the last couple of years. He loved fishing and hunting until the end. Lucas will be remembered most of all for his generosity, good-heartedness, and kindness. Lucas is survived by his parents, Kent and Darlene Hollenbeck; sister, Chelsea Hopson and husband, Charles; brothers, Eben Hollenbeck, and Sam Hollenbeck; and nephews and nieces, Gavin, Hadley, Emery and Nolan Hopson.
